Imran is urged by Sanaullah to abolish the KP and Punjab assemblies before calling for national polls.

In order to fulfil his request for national elections, EX Prime Minister Imran Khan was encouraged by interior minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday to dismiss the legislatures in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, wherein his government is now in control.

While insisting that the PTI leader will "certainly favour early polls" and also that "he is making such requests merely to damage the administration," the minister made the assertion during a media briefing in capital.

Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim league, intended to get the nation closer to polls, but "this Imran is seeking for the removal of chief election commissioner despite understanding that now the CEC could not be indeed be removed without fulfilling a needed constitutional process," according to Sanaullah.

"Imran made a demand for the present chief election commissioner while he had been in the administration, but at this moment, he may well be sacked with the assistance of the review committee," he continued. He argued that the chairman of the ECP cannot be sacked as a result of Imran's claims alone.

If Imran was "truthful" in his call for new elections, he urged Imran to abolish the two legislatures.

The interior ministry requested that the ECP "quickly publish" the decision in the eight-week-old overseas financial case.

When elections take place, according to Sanaullah, the Pakistan Muslim league will "conquer" Punjab and "create its government."

The official further attributed the present hyperinflation the nation was experiencing to the PTI government.

He claimed that the current administration did little to slow the nation's skyrocketing hyperinflation other than hike the price of electricity.

By averting the nation's approaching collapse, "history will demonstrate that we took the right decisions,"

Sanaullah responded to a query by stating that the Model Town issue, in which the accusations regarding his party leaders could not have been proven, was previously determined.
